Actor Prateik and débutante Amy Jackson created quite a stir at Cinemax,Inorbit Mall on Thursday to promote their film Ek Deewana Tha (EDT) which is slated for a post Valentine’s Day release on February 17. Prateik plays a middle-class Maharashtrian boy who is passionate about film making. It is in this journey that he falls in love with the gorgeous young lady. The film is all about the beautiful moments of love including pain,togetherness and distance, Prateik said. Once through with the promotions,Prateik will be back on the sets of his next film,Issaq. Amy,who was the winner of Miss Teen World beauty pageant,plays a girl from an orthodox Christian family in EDT,which is the remake of Tamil film,Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa by Gautham Menon. Amy was spotted by Menon after she won the pageant. Though I was in awe of the country when I first arrived here,I have made it my home now, she said. When asked about her rumoured relationship with co-star Prateik,Amy said,We are good friends. But Prateik was a bit more vocal and even talked about sneaking out on a date with the barbie doll on Valentine’s Day.
