Forms available only at Marathwada Mitra Mandals College of Commerce
Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) students and their parents had to go through an ordeal on the first day of form distribution. They had to wait for over two hours in long in front of the Marathwada Mitra Mandals College of Commerces (MMCC) Dnyaneshwar Hall to procure the form.
Since calculation of marks for ICSE students is different than the CBSE and state board students, deputy director of education Sunil Magar had announced that forms for ICSE students will be sold and accepted only at the MMCC to avoid confusion. However,as it was the only centre, the college saw huge rush.
Deepti Desh Kulkarni,a student of St Marys School, said,I got the forms after waiting for almost two hours. It feels like quite an achievement. We were waiting since 10 in the morning, said Deepti.
We have been standing here from 10.30 am. Its almost two and a half hours now. There should have been some more centres for ICSE students as there are many students, said Rajesh Deshmukh,a student of Bishops School.
For some parents it was a taxing job as many had to go to more than one college for the forms. I waited for close to two hours at MMCC. I also needed to take the bi-focal forms from Fergusson College. Luckily,I did not have to wait that long at Fergusson College, said Sunita Barve,a parent.
However,on enquiring about the problem,MMCC principal M D Lawrence said,Today was the first day so we had a little problem. A few newspapers had published that CBSE forms will be sold here as well which resulted in confusion. I am sure there wont be any such problem from tomorrow.
