Energy awards given away

The DSK Energy Awards for the year 2009 were recently given away.

The DSK Energy Awards for the year 2009 were recently given away. The awards were given in individual,NGO,corporate and product categories. Prof S A Khaparde (IIT Mumbai) was honoured for his contribution in energy studies and research,NGO Orange County Foundation for their contribution in the field of renewable energy,Whirlpool India for contributing in energy saving and Steamline,Pune has been chosen for their contribution in developing a energy saving condensate recovery pump product.

The award consists of a trophy and Rs 10,000 in cash.

Present on the occasion were Commissioner Mahesh Zagade and Brig S K Sharma of DSK Group. The award is constituted jointly by DSK Developers Ltd and Institute of Engineers Pune Local Center for those working relentlessly towards the energy conservation. The Surat Municipal Corporation and the Pune Municipal Corporation also bagged first and second prize respectively for their excellent work efficiency.

Pradeep Bhargava,Managing Director,Cummins Generator Technologies,A V Surve,president,Pune Local Centre,Secretary D B Dhone,member D G Dhoke and A H Kelkar were also present.
