PUNE: Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology organised a state-level faculty development workshop on service oriented architecture organised by their computer and IT department. The workshop was sponsored by the University of Pune and was conducted under the guidance of Tanajirao Sawant Shikshan Mandals president,Professor TJ Sawant. The workshop was attended by participants from colleges in Pune,Nagpur,Kolhapur,Sanghli and Satara.

Elocution competition for law students

PUNE: The Symbiosis Law School,Pune,a constituent of Symbiosis International University,Pune,in association with the Nani A Palkhivala Memorial Trust,Mumbai,hosted the Nani A Palkhivala Memorial Inter-Collegiate Elocution Competition for Law Students recently. The basic objective of this contest is to encourage more and more law students to cultivate the art of public speaking. The event saw enthralling participation from 5 different law schools from all over the Pune .The topics for the occasion were judicial accountability,scope of the Lokpal Bill and the need for judicial reforms.

First international conference of VIT

PUNE:The Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT),Pune,along with the state university of New York at Binghamton (Binghamton University) and Anveshak Technology and Knowledge Solutions,hosted the first international conference on Research Trends in Design,Analysis and Manufacturing of Mechanical Systems at the college campus.

College building to be inaugurated soon

PUNE:The Heritage Main Building of the College of Engineering,Pune has been restored and will be inaugurated on March 24. Sharadchandra Pawar,Union Cabinet Minister,Agriculture and Food Processing Industries will be the chief guest for the function. Post the inaugural ceremony,an interactive get-together of the alumni is scheduled on the same day. Pramod Chaudhari,chairman,Praj Industries Ltd,Pune will be the guest of honor at the function.
