After UoPs BCom results were announced Sunday, several students were in for a shock as their names
did not appear in the passed list.
Many who were admitted in postgraduate courses could face financial losses,as they have already submitted admission fees in universities.
The exam, which concluded on April 18 was delayed by more than a month-and-a-half. The result was to be declared in 45 days according to the Maharashtra University Act.
My roll number is not on the passed list. Hence I was unable to apply to my preferred university for further studies as admission process got over before results were announced. I will also lose money in the course in which I have got admission, said another student.
I have taken admission in Masters paying lakhs. Though,I had difficulty in one paper,I didnt expect to fail. It is not just me but several others from my class who are facing the same problem, said a student who has taken admission in MBA in a city college under NRI quota.
I was told by university officials to till until marksheets are made available at the college as data entry errors may be possible, he said.
Officials had earlier said the delay was due to the strike by teachers in April-May,demanding the sixth pay arrears.
The students can get a photo copy of the answer paper. They can also apply for revaluation of answer sheets, said Sampada Joshi,Comptroller of Examination. The mark sheets of the examination will be available this week at all colleges. Joshi added.
