Two constables with traffic control branch have nabbed a pickpocket afternoon after they saw him jump out of a PMPML bus on MG Road.

Two constables with traffic control branch have nabbed a pickpocket on Friday afternoon after they saw him jump out of a PMPML bus on MG Road.

Police seized cash worth 13,000 from the man,Nitin Chandu Gaikwad (22).

The two constables Janardan Holkar and Ravindra Sutar have been declared a cash reward of Rs 2,000 from the traffic control branch.

Holkar said,We saw going wrong in a PMPML bus to Hadapsar after which we asked the driver to stop the bus. Immediately after the bus stopped Gaikwad jumped out of it and started running. We chased him for 15 minutes into narrow alleys along MG road and nabbed him. Sutar was running behind him while I started chasing him on my bike. A case has now been registered at Lashkar police station against Gaikwad.
