A language learning programme organised by FLAME,consisting of two weeks of French language studies,will be conducted in central Paris under the aegis of the Language School ACCORD. The school will organise 40 classroom sessions over the period of 15 days. Students will be put in classes of international configuration according to their levels in French. They will stay with host families and get a taste of everyday family life in France. Cultural immersion is an important element of this programme. Cultural outings will be organised every afternoon and students will interact with individuals from different walks of life in France.

Seminar on Indian Economy held
At a recent seminar addressed by Subir Gokarn,deputy governor,Reserve Bank of India (RBI),students from IBS were given insights into the Indian economy and its functioning. The lecture titled,’Long Term Drivers and Risks in the Indian Economy,A post – Crisis Perspective’,was organised to mark the silver jubilee of ICFAI. Speaking about recession,Gokarn said,“A strong domestic market helped the Indian economy during recession and it will also contributed towards the future growth of the Indian Economy.” He also added that Indian Finance Sector had limited off balance sheet activities. “Decontrol of fuel may result in higher prices but it will help in conservation,” he commented while speaking about the issue of decontrolling fuel prices. Dhananjay Keskar,director of IBS,said,“These types of interactive sessions will help the students gain more knowledge about various aspects of the Indian Economy.”
