An unusual charity sale is being organised to save animals in the city
It takes two to tango, even if it is about supporting the cause that one stands for. Most of the time we tend to voice our concerns but never do anything substantial about it. Or may be at times,we want to contribute but cant find means to do it. Making a difference is not too difficult now. And if you are an animal enthusiast then this is the opportunity for you to do your bit.
ResQ Charitable Trust in association with E-square multiplex is all set to organise a charity sale that will help raise funds for the rescue and adoption of animals. Scheduled between November 6 and 8 at E- Square, this event will provide funds for saving animals by selling branded clothes and shoes, books and CDs,semi-precious jewelry, elegant hand-bags,utility and electronic household items, sports items, chocolates, curios and toys among other things – at very nominal prices.
Events like these fulfill three objectives- fundraising, awareness and getting volunteers. I believe making people aware about the cause is also an important thing and perhaps if people get sensitised they will come up and contribute more, says Niketa Malhotra, manger, projects,ResQ. She further adds,We have been vigilantly helping stray dogs and cats by the in-house veterinary doctors and the help line we have. Along with providing medical aid to these animals,we also run an adoption campaign that helps in finding homes for these animals.
