City builder declared absconding

The Cantonment police had booked Vazir and his 15 men for allegedly ransacking Marshal’s bungalow at NPS lines in Pune Camp on May 18. Marshal,a private tuition teacher,has been staying at bungalow number four,NPS lines in Pune Cantonment for last 50 years.

Ivy Marshal (70),resident of Pune Camp,had complained that the goons sent by Naushat Vazir ransacked her house on May 18 when a police sub inspector and two constables had taken her to the Cantonment police station,where she was booked on charges of trespassing and later released on bail. When she returned,she found that her house ransacked. Some furniture and valuables were also missing.

Marshal said that police apprehended her saying that she had been staying in the old part of the bungalow,comprising two rooms and a kitchen,without valid documents for over 50 years. She said that she had all the needed legal documents to stay in this portion of the bungalow. Marshal had lodged a complaint against Vazir alleging that it was as per his instructions that her house was ransacked.

Police has arrested a few suspects,but Vazir could not be traced. Police said that searches were conducted at his office and residence,but he was not traceable. The Cantonment police have appealed that any one knowing about the whereabouts of Vazir should contacted them at 26333549 or 26208228.
