From January,Puneites will be fined for not wearing a helmet and for breaking any other traffic law. The decision was taken at the the first meeting of Traffic Advisory Board for Pune city held at Pune police commissionerate on Thursday. All the stake holders traffic related issues,traffic police,representatives of both municipal corporations,those from PMPML and representatives of citizens’ organisations are its members. Manoj Patil,deputy commissioner of police (Traffic) said,”It was decided to fine persons for not wearing helmets.”
