Give premium FSI in B,C Zones: Bagul

Aimed at making small and affordable flats available in Pune and generating revenue,leader of opposition in the PMC and Congress corporator Ulhas Bagul alias Aba bagul has demanded that premium Floor Space Index (FSI) be granted in B and C zones. These two zones include areas comprising old Pune. According to Bagul,FSI in these two zones is 1. They can be given additional FSI of 1 as premium FSI. Calling,little scientists

The Moving Academy of Medicine and Biomedicine will conduct a two-month vacation programme Discovering Little Scientists from April to June. It was launched two years ago and targets 14-18 year olds. Each little scientist receives a stipend of Rs 2,500 per month. The first batch had 10,this year there are 20-25 scholarships on topics like swine flu,stem cells,diabetes,genetically modified crop,cancer and anaemia. A weeklong orientation course will be held at the academys training centre .

One dies in road mishap

A 73-year-year-old man died in an accident on Wednesday night. Mundhwa police arrested a 22-year-old two-wheeler rider for negligent driving. The deceased Vasant Gaikwad was from Mundhwa. The arrested man,Pradip Tiwari,is a resident of Hadapsar Station Colony area. He was arrested late on Wednesday night. Police are investigating further.
