Chatter Box

Rising Star
After Binny Sharma and Vandana Joshi,it’s Himmanshoo Malhotra who had the good fortune to appear on one of Zee TV’s reality shows. The young actor, who appeared on India’s Best Cinestar ki Khoj in 2004,initially had to make do with bit roles in Aap ki Antara and Seven. But his star has since risen as he has landed the lead role in Zee TV’s new show Bhangonwali – Baante Apni Taqdeer. Going by the extra ‘m’s and ‘o’s in his name,we can see that he’s on his way to stardom.

Happy eaters
For a family that is known for hearty eating,it’s surprising that the Kapoors didn’t make it on to the sets of MasterChef India sooner. But it had to happen and we’re glad brother Randhir and Rishi Kapoor made an appearance in the MasterChef kitchen. There they were dispensing advice and even helping with the cooking. We’re sure the contestants were glad of the extra hands, but we’re betting that the Kapoor brothers were even more glad to finally partake of what the contestants made.

Crime and television
This ‘adalat’ promises to be as fictitious and as dramatic as Rakhi Sawant’s infamous one. Ronit Roy comes back to television in a new avatar,as a lawyer KD Pathak on Sony’s legal drama,Adalat. The channel claims that the show will be high on suspense and will focus on the investigation, rather than courtroom drama. But given that this is Indian television,we’re betting the drama won’t be far behind.
