To give the much-needed respite to the Citizens Facilitation Centre (CFC) at the Collectorate, the district administration has planned to start sub-centres which will ease pressure off the collectorate during June-September.
Plans are to open three centres in Pune and two in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Said resident deputy collector Anil Pawar,We are looking to start centres in Pune at Yerwada,Aundh and Kothrud and in Chinchwad and Bhosari.
Though the locations are being worked out, these centres will enable citizens to directly approach them and submit their documents as well as get their affidavits made. The sub-centres will handle the work of the main centre so people would not have to queue up at the collectorate, Pawar said.
A monitoring system and staff will have to arranged for this. In rural areas, fresh contracts have been issued to those working in CFCs at taluka level. We have finalised 12 organisations tol allot their staff at these centres and give them a fresh look, he added.
