The Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) has reported a net profit of Rs 759.52 crore in the 2012-13 fiscal,76.29% higher than the net profit of Rs 430.83 crore in 2011-12.

BoM net profit jumps to Rs 759.52 cr for 2012-13

The Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) has reported a net profit of Rs 759.52 crore in the 2012-13 fiscal,76.29% higher than the net profit of Rs 430.83 crore in 2011-12. The total income increased by Rs 2,671 crore recording a growth of 34% over FY 2011-12. The Banks total business increased to 27.88%,from Rs 133,507.52 crore in the previous year to Rs 170,734.12 crore in 2012-13. The Advances went upto 34.08%,from Rs. 56978.87 crore in the previous year to Rs. 76397.09 crore in 2012-13.

Share trading cell for women

Disha Finance and Investments Pvt Ltd recently opened its new office at Mayur Colony Kothrud. Music director Salil Kulkarni inaugurated it. The new office hosts an exclusive Share Trading Cell for women. A Women Bolt operator will guide the women on this topic. Dr Suhas Rajderkar of the company said,With women bolt operators,it will be easier for other women to ask them even basic questions related to the share market.”

Tata Sons announces formation of GEC

Tata Sons announced the formation of the Group Executive Council (GEC). The GEC,chaired by Chairman of Tata Sons,Cyrus P Mistry,will comprise executives of Tata Sons and provide strategic and operational support to the Chairman of Tata Sons. The GEC,under the aegis of the Tata Sons Board,will assume responsibility for all the roles earlier performed by the Group Corporate Centre (GCC) and the Group Executive Office (GEO).

Carrier Midea targets Rs 1,000-cr turnover

Carrier Midea India Pvt. Ltd. launched its new range of Carrier brand air-conditioners,Midea range of air-conditioners and home appliance in India,with a targeted turnover of Rs 1,000 crore by the end of 2013.The new range of Carrier residential ACs includes 32 models of split and window AC units,including three variants in the inverter category. The Midea range includes Residential ACs including window and split and inverter ACs,commercial air-conditioners,Microwave ovens and Water Dispensers.
