Bhattacharya is new BoM chief

Anup Sankar Bhattacharya has taken over as the chairman and managing director of Bank of Maharashtra with effect from October 1.

Bhattacharya had begun his career as a trainee officer in the United Bank of India in 1971. Having worked in various capacities in West Bengal,Jharkhand and Delhi,secretary to Board,executive secretary to the chairman and managing director,he became general manager in the Bank’s head office. He was elevated as Executive Director of Indian Bank in 2008,said a press release.
