Bhatkar inaugurates innovation meet

Veteran scientist Vijay Bhatkar inaugurated the national conference titled Transcending Horizons through Innovation,organised by Vishwakarma Institute of Management.

The conference kicked off with a short film on the evolution of science and mankind. Bhatkar,in his speech,said that a common man can bring change by adapting innovative approach in day-to-day life.

India is the centre of innovation and 21 st century belongs to the Asians who are innovative. Science is itself a great innovation backed by simple laws and this is the quest to go from known to unknown. The saints,the common man carry the torch of innovation,he said.

He also said that the measure of GDP couldnt be the ultimate growth parameter and the sustained effort towards innovation should be achieved by all of us.

The conference explores the theoretical and practical concepts of innovation and provides platform to students,teachers and industrialists to showcase their research. The conference will last for two days 20 February 20 and 21. Out of 70 research papers,35 abstracts and papers are selected for the conference.
