It took her almost 24 hours after she was crowned to make a call to her mother. Fame,glamour and attention sets in extremely hastily as Pooja Chopra finds at her feet everything but time. Calling it incredible and crazy yet confessing of enjoying every single moment the twenty three year old Miss India- World 2009 finds herself revered by the nation and at once..

“I cannot explain how much special I am made to feel. All that I had dreamt for years is happening in a span of hours. I have hardly slept rushing from one studio to the other,answering the press,calls and so on. I always wanted this life,to win the title,to be featured across pages and channels and travelling. Most of all,I can now take my mom wherever I go,” says the girl,who has been brought up by a single mother and who also expressed fondness for her as she answered the questions.

A student of Mount Carmel and Wadia College,Chopra had participated in many titles in the city,“It was a dream since sixteen when I bagged the Miss Carmel title and was a part of several others later. However,my entry into the top ten was because of the Miss East win that I contested from my hometown,Calcutta,” she adds.

With no time to spare,Chopra prepares for the next big thing,the international pageant and the revelry and recognition is unending as she adds,“I have received innumerous calls,incessant attention and thousands of messages all saying we are proud of you yet each message seemed so special. My friends came over with gifts and many of them are asking me to start writing a blog. Perhaps that is the only future plan I have,” why not when the title has already planned the rest of the future for her.
