Autorickshaw unions in the city have threatened to go on strike after August 15 if a decision on improving the supply of CNG is not taken by the state by then. While the city has around 20,000 autorickshaws that run on CNG,there are only four CNG filling stations. Nitin Pawar, president,Pune Rickshaw Panchayat, said,“Supply is not the only issue. Almost a year ago,it was decided that these pumps will operate from 5 am to midnight. Nothing has been done. If no decision is taken by August 15,we will go on strike.”
