A fitting felicitation

On January 12,advocate Shailaja Molak was presented the ‘Rashtra Ma Jijau Award’ by Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar Vicharmanch at the hands of mayor Mohansingh Rajpal. Molak is the director of Jijau Library and also a writer. She has penned several books on Jijau. While acknowledging her contribution,Rajpal said,“India’s history has always been matriarchal. To name a few great women,there is Rani of Jhansi,Indira Gandhi and Pratibha Patil. The country where a matriarchal system is respected has always achieved a high status.”
