Thieves threaten woman,son with sword,steal jewellery & cash

Three men allegedly threatened a woman and her two-year-old son with a sword and decamped with booty worth Rs 5 lakh from their Govandi home on Friday. Jaybun Abdul Azim Qureshi (25),a homemaker,stays with her husband,son Faiz and three-month-old daughter at an apartment in Samadhan Society off the Ghatkopar-Govandi Link Road. Jaybun’s husband is a cattle seller. “When Jaybun told them that Qureshi had taken the money with him,the men tied her up to a chair and opened her cupboard and decamped with Rs 96,000 and gold jewellery worth Rs 4 lakh ,” said PI Deepak Chowdhary.
