Man found dead on MG Road

The body of a man,suspected to be mentally challenged,was found on MG Road Friday. “Some citizens informed us about a man in his early thirties lying on MG Road. He was taken to Bhagwati Hospital,Borivali,where he was declared dead on arrival,” senior inspector Rajendra Thakur from Kasturba Marg police said. The body has been sent for autopsy and police are conducting enquiries to trace his identity.

According to witnesses,the man was running on the street,waving his arms and shouting when he suddenly fell down. “Because of the behaviour reported by witnesses,we suspect that he was mentally challenged. We are trying to track his family members,” added Thakur. .

Body found on railway track

An unidentified body was found near railway tracks at Poisar Nalah on Friday morning. Railway police have registered a case of murder. The deceased is aged 27-30. It seems that he was bludgeoned on the head with a stone. A stone with blood stains was lying near the body, GRP senior inspector PM Karyakarte said.

This unidentified victim was wearing a red T- shirt with yellow and green strips and a pair of blue jeans.
