She’s the Hero

The presence of his superstar brother ensured that Arbaaz Khan’s first two productions,Dabangg and Dabangg 2,were box office hits. In his third production venture,and his first without the presence of Salman Khan,Arbaaz seems to have found a hero in his Dabangg’s leading lady Sonakshi Sinha. Tentatively called Dolly ki Doli,the film is supposedly about a woman,who cons men through dubious marriages. As the story suggests,the film will have a female protagonist which until recently was being rumoured to have been offered to Katrina Kaif,a former favourite of the Khan stable. Still in talks about the film,the development comes after the success of Lootera,that seems to have consolidated Sinha’s position as a potential female lead who can carry a film on her shoulders. The film is to be directed by debutant Abhishek Dogra.
