Rail services hit

Central Railway commuters had faced a lot of problems last month and it seems there is no end to such issues.

Central Railway commuters had faced a lot of problems last month and it seems there is no end to such issues. The new month started on a similar note with four trains getting cancelled on Wednesday.

The Western Railway trains were delayed due to a point failure on a Crossover at Churchgate around 4 pm. The fault was put right around 4.30 pm.

However, five trains had to be short-terminated at Mumbai Central. Trains were running 15 to 20 minutes late till Wednesday evening.

The delay in suburban services was due to a problem with the overhead wire between Vashi and Mankhurd. Services between Vashi and Mankhurd were suspended from 9.11 am to 9.32 am.

Three suburban trains on Harbour line were cancelled and one was partially suspended. Services on harbour line were restored after 9.32 am. Harbour line trains were running 25-30 minutes behind schedule till evening. However, services on main line and trans-harbour line were as per schedule.
