On Thursday, the WR announced a hike in fares of AC local services. According to the WR, weekly pass travellers will incur a fare hike of Rs 25 to Rs 80, fortnight pass holders will get a hike of Rs 35 to Rs 125 and monthly pass holders will have to pay Rs 50 to Rs 165 more.
The vehicle, introduced on the Republic Day, will help the RPF in keeping an eye on every nook and corner of the railway stations, specially on long platforms, Western Railway's Chief PRO Ravinder Bhakar said on Monday.
The WR will keep six pillars between the rail tracks and use these to provide temporary support to a new bridge. The WR has set a target of 10 months to construct the new stainless steel bridge at the same location.
