New posts for over 20 IAS officers in Maharashtra bureaucratic reshuffle

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in Maharashtra, over 20 IAS officers were transferred on Friday. Sujata Saunik, an IAS officer of the 1987 batch, has been made additional chief secretary (home), a post from which Anand Limaye retired on May 31. Saunik held the same post in the general administration department.

In other transfers, 1991-batch officer S V R Srinivas, municipal commissioner of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, has been posted as officer on special duty for the Dharavi Redevelopment Project. BEST general manager Lokesh Chandra (1993 batch) has been posted as chairman and managing director of MAHADISCOM.

Radhika Rastogi (1995 batch) has been posted as principal secretary and development commissioner in the Planning Department at Mantralaya.

I A Kundan (1996 batch), principal secretary in the Women and Child Welfare Department, has been given the same post in the Minority Development Department.

The present secretary of the department, Anup Kumar Yadav (2002 batch), has been given Kundan’s previous post.

Sanjeev Jaiswal (1996 batch), principal secretary in the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, has been posted as vice-president and chief executive officer of the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority.

Asheesh Sharma (1997 batch), additional municipal commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, has been posted as principal secretary (2) in the Urban Development Department.

M S Khadi Village Industries Board CEO Anshu Sinha (1999 batch) has been posted as a secretary in the OBC Bahujan Welfare Department.

Known for his unconventional ways of functioning, Tukaram Mundhe (2005 batch) has been posted as a secretary in the Marathi Bhasha Department. Maharashtra Maritime Board CEO Dr Amit Saini (2007 batch) has been posted as mission director of the Jal Jeevan Mission in Mumbai

Nashik municipal commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar (2008 batch) has been posted as sugar commissioner in Pune. Dr Manik Gursal (2009 batch), additional development commissioner (industries), has been posted as Maharashtra Maritime Board CEO.

Kolhapur municipal commissioner Kadambari Balkawade (2010 batch) has been posted as director-general of the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency in Pune.

Pradipkumar Dange (2011 batch), joint secretary-cum-mission director of the Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and Water Supply and Sanitation, has been posted as director of sericulture in Nagpur. Shantanu Goel (2012 batch), MGNREGS commissioner in Nagpur, has been posted as joint managing director of the City and Industrial Development Corporation in Navi Mumbai.

Latur collector Prithviraj B P (2014 batch) has been posted as director (information technology) in Mumbai. Dr Hemant Vasekar (2015 batch), CEO of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission in Mumbai, has been posted as commissioner of animal husbandry in Pune.

IRS officer Dr Sudhakar Shinde (1997 batch) has been posted as additional municipal commissioner of the BMC.
