Man arrested for raping minor

A 55-year-old man was arrested in Antop Hill Saturday for allegedly raping his 11-year-old neighbour Friday,the police said. The accused had,in the past two months,attempted to rape her on two occasions,Antop Hill police said.

The suspect,Hanif Memon,was a tenant of the victim’s parents for the past ten years in a house next to theirs,police said. Memon allegedly lured the victim to his home on the pretext of watching TV. The victim later confided in her parents and a police complaint was filed.
