Maharashtra CM Eknath ShindeThe state government will spend Rs 270 crore on a special publicity campaign to popularise its welfare schemes ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls in Maharashtra.
The campaign will be concentrating on schemes such as CM Majhi Ladki Bahin and CM Teerth Darshan announced in the Budget.
According to a government resolution issued Monday, the government will be spending Rs 136.35 crore out of the total amount on hoardings, banners, LED’LCD/ESB screens, digital wall painting, hoarding/LED/display boards in Mumbai, Nagpur and Delhi airports etc.
A total of Rs 51 crore will be spent on publicity through social media and digital media, Rs 40 crore will be spent on advertisements in print media and Rs 39.70 crore will be spent on publicity through electronic media.
As per the government directives, the special publicity campaign will focus on government’s scheme aimed at providing benefits to women, such as its flagship Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, inclusion of mother’s name in government documents, increased subsidy for community marriage events, CM Annapurna scheme, Lakhpati didi scheme, Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women startup scheme, free professional education for women, and CM internship scheme.
