Fire breaks out in Lower Parel

A fire broke out on the second floor of the Unit no 203,Amir Industrial Estate at Sunmills Compound,in Lower Parel (W) on Tuesday morning. The fire,which started around 10.30 am,was doused at 1.45 pm.

No one was reported injured in the fire,which destroyed office records and furniture apart from electrical fittings.

Amir Industrial Estate is the industrial colony located on the Sunmill Lane and houses apparel,clothing and garment shops apart from many other manufacturing units.

While the exact cause of the fire is unknown,fire officials said investigating are underway.
