‘Expect heavy rain from this evening’

After light to moderate rainfall over the past few days,heavy rains are expected to lash the city from Tuesday evening,said the Met department. Moderate to heavy rain was expected in the interim period,officials said. Meanwhile,the maximum temperature in the suburbs dropped by over three degrees on Monday to 28.8°C,down from 32°C the previous day while the island city recorded 31.4°C as against 31.5°C the previous day. On Tuesday,the weather department expects occasional spells of rain with rather heavy spells in some areas.
