The Customs Department Monday arrested a man for allegedly not declaring gold bars and jewellery worth Rs 14 lakh at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

The Customs Department Monday arrested a man for allegedly not declaring gold bars and jewellery worth Rs 14 lakh at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Customs officials said accused Dasanadi Mohammed Rizwan returned from Dubai on a Jet Airways flight and tried to pass through the green channel. However,Customs officials found 466.56 grams of gold bars,46.19 grams of gold jewellery and other valuables in Rizwans possession.

Nehru Nagar sting: Activist moves HC

Activist Mohammed Kasam Khan has approached Bombay High Court seeking creation of a special investigation team to probe allegations of bribes being accepted by policemen at Nehru Nagar police station,Kurla. The footage showed policemen accepting bribe to allow the renovation of a dilapidated structure. Thirty-six policemen were suspended.
