Fake MBA degrees: Three held in Thane Following a complaint by Shiv Sena workers,the police on Wednesday arrested three women for allegedly running a fake degree racket in Thane. Vikas Repale of the Bhartiya Vidhyarthi Sena claimed he posed as a student and bought an MBA degree from the National Academy of Business Studies for Rs 75,000 without attending any class. The three accused Seema Nair,Kavita Shashidharan and Arshi Khan however,claimed their courses are AICTE-recognised and their institute is affiliated to St Peters University in Tamil Nadu. Senior Police Inspector B R Chaudhary said,The women told us they got the degree certificates printed from a photocopy centre in Andheri. For now,they are in police custody till Thursday and the probe is on.
