Time machine
The premiere of Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey on December 2 was a heavily star-studded affair. The red carpet at PVR Goregaon saw some of Bollywood’s biggest celebrities turning up. After all,it was the premiere of one of this year’s most anticipated films. And director Ashutosh Gowarikar,wife Sunita and producers Ajay and Sanjeev Bijli had made sure that the theme of the party fit the movie’s subject. Accordingly,there were antique guns as props at the venue and the dress code for the evening was traditional formal-wear. Naturally,the Bachchans — Amitabh,Jaya and Aishwarya Rai — turned up to support lead actor Abhishek Bachchan,as did close friends Goldie Behl and wife Sonali Bendre. Siddharth Mallya put in an appearance to support ‘good friend’ Deepika Padukone. Also present were Priyanka Chopra,Yash Chopra,Suzanne and Hrithik Roshan who didn’t stick with the dress code,Anupam and Kirron Kher who came to cheer son Sikandar,Genelia D’Souza,Sameera Reddy and Harman Baweja.

Bummer Wish Deepika had opened the pallu of her sari and let it fall elegantly over her shoulder. Instead,the tightly-pleated sari made her look like she was going to break into an item-number.
