Considering that the 15th anniversary is traditionally known as the Crystal Anniversary,its not surprising that luxury shoe label Jimmy Choo decided to celebrate its decade-and-a-half in business by launching a Crystal Collection. Hosted by Genesis Luxury MD Sanjay Kapoor and Creative Head Deepika Gehani,the Mumbai bash of the British accessories brand took place at the swish Villa 39 in Colaba. Given the theme of the party,its only apt that most guests should turn up in shimmery clothes and that the interiors of the restaurant should be strung up with crystal curtains. Waiters floated to and fro bearing trays of delicious apple and watermelon Ciroc cocktails and lovely little pizzalets and crostinis. Even though guests started coming in an hour later than the 8 pm specified on the invite,the restaurants two levels quickly got crowded. We spotted society ladies Roohi Jaikishan,Manasi Scott,

Gayatri Joshi,Nisha Javeri,Simone Singh and Shaheen

Abbas,most of whom were togged out in the label. Designer mum and daughter Neeta and Nishka Lulla were seen hanging out with Masaba Gupta and Mandira Bedi. The chief guest of the evening was actress Jacqueline Fernandes who came surprisingly early and stayed till quite late.

Bummer We no longer expect LBDs at chic cocktail dos,but surely satin shorts are not the appropriate attire for such events,Jacqueline. Keep them for your boudoir,baby.
