BJP drops 7 MLAs,retains 25 in first list

In the first list of 66 candidates declared by the BJP on Saturday night,BJP dropped seven sitting MLAs and retained 25.

Poonam Mahajan,daughter of the late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan (Ghatkopar West),Gopal Shetty (Boriwali),builder Suresh Haware (Belapur),Prakash Mehta (Ghatkopar East),Ashish Shelar (Vandre West),Mangal Parbhat Lodha (Malabar Hill) and Raj Purohit (Colaba) were those declared from Mumbai.

Rebel Congress MLA Nana Patole from Sakoli in Bhandara and NCP rebel and former minister of state Shivajirao Kardile from Rahuri had found place on the list. The duo had joined the BJP recently. Former minister Shobhatai Fadnavis,whose Mul Sawali constituency has been wiped off in the delimitation exercise,has been dropped. The BJP has retained Chandrapur MLA Sudhir Mungantiwar in the new Ballarpur constituency.

Dr B.S Patil (Amalner),Sahebrao Ghode (Chalisgaon),Bhersingh Nagpure (Amgaon),Uttam Ingle (SC) Sandu Patil Lokhande (Sillod) and Ajit Gogate (Kankavali) have also been dropped.
