The police on Saturday arrested two persons for robbing a couple at Sanjay Gandhi National Park on Monday. Police said the duo were traced with the help of the mobile phone,which they had stolen from the couple. Police said the two,Shravan Verthe (26) and Deepak Dhangade (30) of Damu Nagar in Samta Nagar,Kandivali East had robbed the couple of gold earrings and a mobile phone. With the help of IMEI number,we tracked the mobilephone to Samta Nagar and nabbed the person using the phone. It turned out that he had purchased it from an acquaintance who stayed nearby, said Pravin Kumar Patil,DCP (zone 12) Based on this information,police nabbed Dhangade and Vartse. Both have been arrested for robbery and will be produced in court on Sunday. Police are trying to find whether the duo had robbed any other couples in the same location.
