All-India Congress Committee spokesperson Manish Tiwari today said the Congress had a deep and strong relationship with the Dalits who had always been its backbone. Addressing a function organised by the Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Youth Federation (Punjab) here today,Tewari said the relationship was like that of life and blood. Referring to the role of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar,Tiwari said not only had he (Dr Ambedkar) given a beautiful Constitution to India but he had also dedicated his whole life for the uplift and welfare of the Dalits. The Ludhiana MP said the Congress will continue with its policy of providing special concessions to the marginalized and less privileged sections of the society. The path set up by Dr Ambedkar will continue to be the guiding force for the party,he said.

PU declares BA-II results
The students of Government College for Women excelled in BA-II examination of the Panjab University. As many as 355 students out of 520 students bagged the first position. Pallavi Kaura and Miskika Arora,both shared first position in the college by securing 82.5 per cent whereas Paramdeep Kaur and Aashima Satish Kumar stood second and third securing 81.5 per cent and 80.7 per cent,respectively. At Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women,Kritika stood first in the college by securing 74.6 per cent where as Shampy Gupta stood second by securing 71.9 per cent.
