Dist Cong chief slams Sachdeva

The Ludhiana District Congress Committee president Pawan Dewan on Tuesday condemned the statements of former party disciplinary committee chairman Kamal Sachdeva and accused him of levelling baseless charges against the party. In a statement issued here,Dewan said the secular credentials of the Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh were above board. He questioned Sachdeva’s authority to level such allegations against the PCC president.

Dewan said under Capt Amarinder’s leadership the party had reached out to the people. Urging the media to exercise restraint while reporting such issues,Dewan said Sachdeva had neither the standing nor the credibility to level such allegations.
