City students put up a good show in class XII exam

The city students excelled in class XII examinations conducted by CBSE,the result of which was declared today.

Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School,Sarabha Nagar: Sister Chantal,the school principal,said,“The school secured 100% result. There are 64 students with 90% and above marks,111 secured 80% to 90%,57 between 70% to 80%,24 between 60 to 70% while three students scored 50% to 60%.” Ayushi Katyal,a commerce student,shared first position in all streams along with two students of KVM with 97.2%,Harmilanjot Kaur with 95% marks topped the district in humanities. While Aparna Jain (non-medical) got 94.8% marks and stood first in the school in this stream,Kushagra Maini with 95.6% marks remained first in medical stream in school.

Kundan Vidya Mandir: The school had 100% result. While 335 students got first division,eight got second division. Srishti Arora,a medical student,shared the first position in the district with Sunny Baweja,a commerce student,along with Ayushi Katyal of Sacred Heart Convent Senior Secondary School,Sarabha Nagar,with 97.2% marks.
While Anubha Gupta stood first in medical with 96.2% and Rohini Jain topped in humanities with 94% marks. Rajiv Nagalia,the school principal,said,“The result is an outcome of the hard work put in by the students,parents of wards and teachers.”

DAV Public School,BRS Nagar: Nikita Devgan (non-medical) with 95.8%,Shagun (medical) with 95.4% and Abhishek Paul (commerce) with 93.8% marks stood first in their respective streams in school. The school recorded 99.4% result.

Darshan Academy: The school secured 100% result. S D Kalia,principal of the school,said,“This was the first batch of non-medical students and Gurpreet Kaur of our school scored 94.4 marks and topped in the school.”

Nankana Sahib Public Sen Sec School,Gill Road: All the students of the school cleared the examination. Harmeet Kaur,the school principal,said,“Tusharika Sharma got 92.6% in medical and topped the school. Whle five other students also scored 90% and above marks.”

Sacred Heart School,BRS Nagar: Jasleen Kaur in non-medical stream got 93.6%,Smridhi Bhakku in commerce 93.2% and Shagun Bedi in medical stream secured 87.4%. Sister Sobel,the school principal,said,“All the 191 students passed the examination.”

BCM Sen Sec School,Shastri Nagar: All the students passed the examination. Supreet,a student of financial marketing,secured first rank in the school with 96.2% marks,Rupal of commerce with 96% marks stood second while Simranjeet Singh of commerce stream got third position in the school with 95.6% marks. Sagar scored 94.2% marks and stood first in medical and Kusampreet scored 89.2% marks and stood first in Humanities in the school. Pallavi Sharma of non-medical stood first in school with 92.8% marks.
Paramjeet Kaur,the school principal,said,“All the 329 students passed,66 students got 90% and above while 126 got 80% and above marks.”

Gujranwala Guru Nanak Public School,Rose Garden: Gurleen Kaur stood first in non-medical stream with 92.4%,Gagandeep Singh was topper in medical with 89.6% marks while Harpreet Kaur with 87.2% and Simranjeet Singh with 78.2% marks stood first in of commerce and humanities,respectively.

Radha Watika Sen Sec School khanna: Rimmi Brara stood first in medical stream in Khanna with 93.4% marks. Her parents are doctors. While Jaskirat Kaur,a student of AS Modern School,Khanna,stood first with 94% marks in non-medical and Amanpreet of the same school of commerce stream stood first in Khanna with 94% marks. Rajesh Dalli,the school secretary of AS Modern School,said,“The students have brought laurels to the school.”

Shamrock Christian School: Heena Ahuja of medical stream scored 90%,Akshit Chanana of commerce 90% and Tarandeep Singh (non-medical) also scored 90%. P Singh,the school principal,congratulated the students for good result and also appreciated the efforts of teachers.

Green Land Sen Sec Public School: The school logged 100% result. Pankesh Bamotra of non-medical got 94.6% marks while Nitin Ahuja of commerce got 93.2%.

Tagore Public School: The school secured 100% result. Suman Arora,the school principal,said,“In non-medical,Onkarjit Kaur secured 93.2%,in medical Amanjot Kaur scored 89.8% and in commerce,Ankita Khullar scored 87.2% and stood first in their respective stream in the school.”

BVM Kitchlu Nagar: The school secured 100% result. Santosh Meha,the school principal,said,“Rhythem Khanna of commerce stood first in school with 94.6% marks,Suvit Jain of non-medical with 92.6% and Gurpreet of medical stream with 90.2% marks stood first in their respective streams in the school.”

GNPS: All the students cleared the examination. Varneet Kaur stood first in commerce with 96.4%,while Amrita Arora secured first position in medical with 94.4% and Gurjot of non-medical with 95.8% marks stood first in their respective streams in their school.

Sportsmen excel: Kirandeep Kaur,a student of Guru Nanak Public School,scored 91.2% in non-medical in XII. She is a player of basketball and athletics,and has represented for six times in the state in under 14,17 and 19 year categories. Her father,Jjagtar Singh Sidhu,is a businessman. She is keen to become an engineer. Inderjeet Singh of Nankana Sahib Public Senior Secondary School,Gil Road,secured 91.2% in commerce. He is a school athlete and has represented at the district as well as national-level handball championships.
