Pranab in Lucknow today

UPA nominee for presidential election Pranab Mukherjee,who is visiting Lucknow Tuesday,will meet Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav,Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav besides Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati during his visit.

Mukherjee will meet the SP leaders over lunch where he will be introduced to party MLAs and MPs. The meeting will be held at CM’s official residence. It is likely that several independent and smaller outfits may also extend their support to Pranab.

Later in the evening,Mukherjee will meet BSP MLAs and MPs. First,he will meet Mayawati at her residence. After the meeting,Mayawati will accompany him to the BSP office where she will formally introduce him to party legislators and MPs. A dinner,too,has been hosted. Pranab will also meet Congress leaders on Tuesday.
