Aqua line to operate through the night for New Year’s Eve

The Mumbai Metro line 3, known as the Aqua line, will be operational through the night on the New Year’s Eve.

Special service will start after 10.30pm on December 31, and continue till regular operational hours at 5.55 am.

“This initiative is aimed at providing uninterrupted connectivity during the festive period, allowing citizens to enjoy celebrations without travel concerns,” said the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) in a press note.

On similar lines, the Central Railway, Western Railway and Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) also operate services through the New year’s Eve night.

As many as 12 additional train services will run through the night, with eight on the WR and four on the CR.

BEST will be running bus services to the shores of Gateway of India, Juhu Chowpatty, Gorai, Marve, etc.

The buses on which the additional services will run are routes C86, 203. 231 as well as air-conditioned bus routes A-21, A-112, A-116. A-247. A-272, A-294. The buses will run every 15 to 30 minutes.

The “Heritage Tour” bus will also run through the night from 5. 30pm for New Year’s Eve, subjected to demand.
