Next generation of Tilak, Bapat and Ekbote gets BJP tickets for PMC polls
The BJP in Pune decided not to declare an official list of candidates and instead individually called the candidates asking them to file their nominations with the official letter of the party.

Replacing many faces from the previous general body, the BJP on Monday roped in a young brigade of loyalist BJP families to contest the elections of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). They include Kunal Tilak, son of former mayor and MLA Mukta Tilak, descendant of the family of Lokmanya Tilak, Swarada Bapat, daughter in law of late BJP MP Girish Bapat and Nivedita Ekbote, daughter of former BJP corporator Jyotsana Ekbote.

Raghvendra Mankar, son of NCP leader Deepak Mankar, Raju Khade-son of former BJP corporator Datta Khade, Reshma Bhosale- wife of former NCP legislator Anil Bhosale also managed to made it to young brigade list of BJP for Pune civic body.
The BJP has also fielded Sachin Dodke, Sayali Wanjale, Rohini Chimte, Bharatbhushan Barate who recently joined the party from NCP(SP) and NCP.
Among the former corporators who will contest election include Ganesh Bidkar, Yogesh Mulick, Rajendra Shilimkar, Rani Bhosale and Sunny Nimhan.
However, former BJP corporators Dhananjay Jadhav, Shankar Pawar and Mukari Algude joined the NCP after being denied the BJP ticket.
