Bareilly, Feb 28 (ANI): The income of farmers could be doubled by 2022 if the state governments put their effort to it, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. Lauding the measures taken by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the development of agriculture, the Prime Minister said Madhya Pradesh was never an agricultural state, but due to the effort of the Chief Minister, it has prospered by leaps and bounds. The Prime Minister said the initiatives taken by the MP CM were commendable seeing that MP has been receiving the coveted ‘Krishi Karman Award’ for three years in a row. Modi also added that since the time BJP had come to power in the state, MP has been progressing.

World Bank Country Director Onno Ruhl spoke to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her cabinet ministers to discuss these issues in detail. Ruhl congratulated Raje on the success of decreasing the rate of defecation in the open. He also stressed on the use of traditional forms of energy while maintaining that the focus was on alternative forms of energy. The project is a joint venture of Dubai Holding and the state government. Smart Cities Mission is an urban renewal programme by the the Union Ministry of Urban Development to develop 100 smart cities all over the country.
Bengaluru, Feb 21 (ANI): A man threw a paper bag at Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah during a function at Ravindra Kalakshetra, protesting caste bias on Sunday. The man was arrested immediately after the incident. The security officials present at the spot found that the paper bag was filled with chocolates.
