Couple found hanging

Police on Tuesday evening found bodies of a couple hanging from a hook at their house in Lucknow’s Vikas Nagar area. The police said prima facie it appears the two had committed suicide. The deceased have been identified as Jitendra Singh and Madhri Singh. Both were engaged and were living in a rented house. T he police have sent the bodies for postmortem and the report is awaited. “Prima facie it appears to be a suicide case but we would reach to conclusion after receiving the postmortem report,” said ASP,Trans Gomti,Nitin Tiwari. No suicide not has been found. Station Officer,Vikas Nagar,RN Rai said the investigation is on.

According to Rai,on Tuesday evening,the police was informed by a neighbour about the couple not responding to the knocks at the door of their house. The police broke open the door and found the the couple hanging from the hook in the ceiling. The two were rushed to the Trauma Center where they were declared dead. Police said,Madhuri,a native of Bihar,and Jitendra,a resident of Lucknow,were employed with a private firm.
