Cops foil undertrials’ escape bid

Two undertrials lodged in Tihar Jail tried to escape from police custody in Kaiserbagh police station area on Saturday afternoon. According to police,Salim and Sohrab,both residents of Lucknow,had come for a hearing at Lucknow district court where they had an argument with Delhi police officials who had escorted them to Lucknow. Kaiserbagh station officer Vijay Prakash Singh said that when they were being carried in a police van to Charbagh railway station,Salim tried to run away but was caught.
