GHAZIABAD: A woman along with her paramour and his friend were arrested for allegedly killing her husband in Loni area for objecting to her extra-marital affair,police said Monday. Afsana along with her lover Naseem,a resident of New Mustfabad,strangulated Akbar on the night of July 15 after he came drunk home and picked up a fight,police said. The decomposed body of Akbar was found wrapped in a bedsheet in Balaram colony on July 22 and the trio was arrested by the Loni police Sunday evening. Afsana,mother of two daughters,got married to Akbar 14 years ago.

Four commit suicide in separate cases

KANPUR: Four women,including a college student,allegedly committed suicide in different villages of the district,police said Monday. 21-year-old Shivani was found hanging from a ceiling fan in her home at Lakhanpur area in Kalyanpur. Shivani,a BA student,was mentally disturbed and was being treated for the same,they said.

In two separate cases,Kamlesh Kumari (26) of Bhitra village and Ruby Singh (27) of Ghatampur village immolated themselves.

Their families have blamed husbands of the deceased. In the fourth incident,Nitu Tiwari (34),resident of Malkhanpur,also hanged herself.

Man killed,2 injured as bikes collide

AZAMGARH: A man was killed and two others injured when two motorcycles collided,police said Monday. The incident took place late last night when Sunil (23) was returning home. Police said Sunil was killed when his motorbike collided with another near Narauli bridge in Sidhauri police station area. The two injured have been admitted to a district hospital,police said.
