THE Shyamal Sen Commission set up by the state government to probe into the chit fund mess and identify the investors who have been cheated on Friday started its investigation.
Justice (retd) Sen visited the commissions office at 5,Council House Street near Writers Buildings. The government,meanwhile,named two members of the five-member commission. They are Amlan Basu,chairman of the CBSE and Jogesh Chatterjee,a retired IPS officer.
We will finalise the names of the remaining members very soon, an official of the state Home Department said.
The state government also issued the order of the setting up of the Special Investigation team headed by DGP of the state police to probe the cases that would be referred to it by the commission.
The commission will soon publish advertisements in newspapers asking duped investors to send their complaints.
