Even as rumours about her debuting opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Alis Rockstar do the rounds,model Diana Penty says she has no idea where that came from. Im not doing any movies at the moment, she declares,having just returned to Mumbai after walking the ramp at the New York Fashion Week. Instead,the 24-year-old,one of Indias most sought after models on the ramp now,is gung-ho about her NYC experience. Walking the fashion ramp apart,Penty has also shot campaigns for top-end brands like Bluefly and Neiman Marcus during her time there. Id love to go back there in October, she says. Penty,who began her career five years ago when long-time family friend and ace photographer Farrokh Chothia photographed her on a whim,doesnt deny though,that shes certainly keen on working in movies. In fact,Elite,her agency,is grooming her for a career in the movies and looking at suitable scripts. The Mumbai-based model says that despite her interest,she is still slightly nervous about the switch. Im wary of making any film commitments. After all,if I do sign on a film,Ill find it very difficult to focus on modelling. And I feel like Ive got so much left to do, she says.
