Old horses slowing down CPM pace

The ruling CPM is afflicted with old leaders and ministers unable to perform their roles because of ill health and age-related issues,says an internal assessment done by the party. Following a rectification drive launched by the party politburo,the CPM state unit has asked the old leaders to relinquish their posts voluntarily,both in the party’s organisational set-up as well as in the government.
