Members of ABVP from Ahmedabad raised slogans against those who supported the anti-national elements in JNU. An ABVP leader said they will continue their protests till the anti-nationalists are punished. In Bengaluru, the student took out a 'Tricolor march'. A protestor of ABVP in Bengaluru said they condemn the act of central universities rising to support the anti-national slogans raised in JNU. In Kolkata, ABVP members were seen raising slogans against the anti-national elements.

New Delhi/Mumbai, Feb 17 (ANI): Condemning the protests in Jadavpur University, Kolkata, Congress leader Manish Tewari on Wednesday said strict actions should be taken against people involved in anti-national activities but sedition charges should not be put against them as it fulfils their aspirations of gaining popularity. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Majid Memon also condemned the protests in educational institutions. Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi emphasised on the need for the Jadavpur University students to come forward and identify the anti-social elements prevalent in the campus.

Kolkata, Feb 15 (ANI): A person was injured after two motorcycle-borne miscreants fired gun shots outside the Loreto School at Convent road in Kolkata on Monday. The victim was shot in the leg and was rushed to the nearby hospital. The site where the victim was shot is reported to be near the jute mill. Police have reached the spot to identify further details and a man-hunt has been launched against the miscreants. Meanwhile, security has been heightened outside the school in light of the shooting.

New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): The Airports Authority of India will enhance its marketing strategy to make airports more operationally and commercially viable. At the Airport Marketing Conference held recently in New Delhi, the officials and experts chalked out a strategy to make commercial use of airport infrastructure in the country. Formed in April 1995, the Airports Authority of India manages 125 destinations, including 77 domestic and 21 international airports in the country. The Authority is also looking at focusing on the cargo segment to boost its revenues. It has been undertaking the International Cargo handling operations at international airports including Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Coimbatore, Amritsar and Guwahati. Similarly, the Authority has identified 24 domestic airports across five regions, including three civil enclaves to develop such integrated facilities. They include Port Blair, Coimbatore, Jaipur, Raipur, Ahmedabad and others. The Airports Authority of India, which has developed infrastructure at many of its airports, is looking forward to make its commercial use.

Kolkata, Jan 21 (ANI): A suspicious bag was found in a car parked outside Netaji metro station in Kolkata on Thursday. Bomb Disposal Squad reached the spot to investigate the same and retrieved the suspicious bag from the car. However, nothing dubious was found in the bag. This comes hours after a suspicious bag was found at the gate of Haridwar railway station earlier on Thursday morning.
