Man held for molestation

A 24-year-old man was arrested late on Monday night for allegedly molesting a girl in Salt Lake area.

According to officials of North Bidhan Nagar police station,the accused,Bappaditya Roy,is a driver who was arrested late on Monday night at FD Block in Salt Lake. The police said the victim was returning from her coaching classes and was talking on phone when she was noticed by the accused,who was passing in the car. Roy stopped his car and started chasing the girl. After some initial struggle the victim managed to escape and raised an alarm. “We have lodged a case against him and he was produced in court today,” said a senior police official.
